There isn't really a place to talk about this movie (its not horror per sey) but I saw this last night and was blown away!
Can't say I was really interested in the Ballet, but the directing is amazing by Darren Aronofsky. Have any of you seen Requiem for a Dream? I haven't seen that one yet.
I really liked the creepy aspects of Black Swan and Mila Kunis was really fun to watch (specifically in 1 scene) What did you guys think?

It looks intense, full of suspense and all. Christene and I are hopefully going to see it on Monday. The boys are in school, it's my last day of PTO, and we're going to take Rachel to a drop off place for a while so we can take in a movie.

It is definitely a psychological thriller more so than a horror movie, but it is so well done that a lot of its perceived shortcomings for me were overcome. (for example I could give 2 hoots about ballet)

And the ending was not what we were expecting but was just as good.

Yeah, Aronofsky is an amazing director for sure, did I hear right that he may do Wolverine in the future!?! Hrmmmm, tickling my memories. (checks recent news topics)Yep, he's on board for the next Wolverine film. And also for a film called "Machine Man". Really? The description doesn't match the hero, but they're not adapting the Marvel character for the big screen are they? It wouldn't work IMO since people would htink it was an attempt at Inspector Gadget for the super hero crowd...

I never got the point of Machine Man, but I was always a DC guy ...

I never got the point of Machine Man, but I was always a DC guy ... I remember when the character was first introduced. He was your typical human looking character that doesn't understand human interactions. So that would make him an easy way of commenting on current events.

My problem with the character is overexposure and bad casting. I just don't think that Hugh Jackman has ever been a very good fit for Wolverine. Sure he "looks" the part, but there is more to it than just that.
Ironically both of these problems (overexposure and bad cinematic adaptations) have plagued my favorite character for years, The Punisher

He's not some tall guy.
