As I've been discussing on various threads, I've not exactly had a lot of love for current Marvel material. So, lemme air some of my grievances, and see where the discussion goes!
Spider-Man: I've dabbled my toes in some of "Brand New Day". It... wasn't bad, but like so many others have said, it's just not my Spider-Man, anymore. Or, maybe even all that GOOD Spider-Man, anymore.
X-Men: That merry band of mutants, for their post "House of M" decimated numbers, have WAY too many damn titles to keep track of! I feel like I'm in the 90's all over again. So much so that I ironically find myself gravitating towards X-Force solely, all over again.
Avengers: What's the difference between New and regular Avengers teams? (Though to be fair, Secret Avengers just outright rocks.) We're given the promise of a Heroic Age, and while it's not as bleak as the Dark Reign, we're still stuck with Brian Michael Bendis writing. Ugh! Dude needs to write characters that can shut up!
Hulk: Planet Hulk was a lot of intergalactic fun, World War Hulk had a great lead-up... with a bad ending. The whole "Rulk" thing... eh, they stretched out the mystery TOO long for me to even care. The expansion of the Hulk family... I have no issues with Skaar, and having She-Hulk be part of the title is fun, but Thundraa's daughter and the She-Rulk? Overkill, much? I think it was just the spirit of throwing all sorts of monkey dung around that killed my interest in World War Hulks, and everything following that.
Deadpool: He's everywhere. 'Nuff said.
Anyways, feel free to add!
