What's the most horrifying scene from a movie you've seen recently?
I'm watching the Masters Of Horror episode "Pelts" right now, and just saw someone put their head into a bear trap and their face was chopped off.
Gross!

I'm not always sure if gore always does it for me for truly horrifying scenes. Maybe the closest I can come to for gut-reaction dread was "The Descent", where that one spelunker just gets jammed in that VERY narrow cavern.

Well, I have become so desensitized with all the films I have seen, nothing really horrifies me anymore. BUT, the graveyard zombie in NOTLD 68 will always scar me for life as the 1st. flesh-eating zombie on the screen. It really did take me many a year to watch that film alone.

How about the scene where Bill Pullman gets his nuts nailed to the chair in "Serpent And The Rainbow"?

You should be okay with talking about your testicular discomfort.

Another moment that makes me cringe is in the 1980s retread of the Blob from Director Chuck Russel. There is a moment where you get to see the blob digest a kid right in front of the camera and it really affected me. I kinda have a thing with acid in movies
I haven't seen Serpent and the Rainbow, but I kinda have a thing with Wes Craven. (he kinda sucks)

The zombies in Rec had me jumpping a few times to say the least. I loaned my brother-in-law my copy of [REC] last weekend. He's not seen it yet. I loved that film.
